'Naksh' Our history
‘Naksh’ – an atlas of the heart’s echo of deep desire, a longing for all that it encompasses, a roadmap for passion that enriches in many ways, is not a mere product, it is a story to adorn. The authentic handloom weaves under our brand, forming a tasteful clothesline, come from the rustic and most original sources of the Indian art and craft culture.
The power and potency of such handicraft to make a fashion statement of elan and elegance was acknowledged seven years ago by a young driven apprentice. It was during her exploratory studies and travel, she came across the agrestic yet richly original ancient Rajasthani printing technique that involves scrupulous attention to detail across the many stages of making it. The handmade and handprinted fabric creators, its few remaining karigar’s (artisans) left to take this age-old legacy forward, left an indelible mark on her mind.
